I’ve talked before about how I think that networking is so crucial in this industry so that you can make different contacts, gain insight and knowledge into how others do the things that you do — but better. There are many different affiliate conferences throughout the year that we all know about, but the one that perhaps has garnered the most popularity — and rightfully so — is the Affiliate Summit conferences.

There are two a year: Affiliate Summit West and Affiliate Summit East. Each is held in a random city on either coastline/side of the country for each conference. The last one was Affiliate Summit West in Las Vegas and although I did not get to attend personally, from what I have heard from people who did attend — well, it was absolutely amazing.

I have attended some of the other conferences however and the level of networking that you can do at some of them is just amazing. You can listen to people who’ve succeeded in the very same industry you are working in and you can actually hang out with them and unwind as well.

We all work so hard and with such long hours that sometimes we need an actual vacation away from our homes to truly get us to unwind and relax a little bit. The affiliate conferences do a wonderful job at promoting such an atmosphere to take place.

The next major affiliate conference that is coming up is Affiliate Summit East in New York City in mid-August. The last Affiliate Summit East was in Boston last year and was a huge success and from what I’ve been hearing, they’ve only been getting bigger and better with each passing conference. And by that I mean, the advertisers and networks are going all out to impress the affiliates and this can only mean good things for affiliates.

Free stuff. Networking. Partying? Could you ask for anything more?

So if you can make it than I highly suggest you try and make it to Affiliate Summit East in NYC. Who knows, maybe you’ll see yours truly there!
