It seems like one of the few industries that has relatively remained largely unaffected by the recent downturn of the American economic situation is affiliate marketing. This is of course, since we all work for the most part online and despite the fact that many people are out of work and don’t have lots of money, people still buy thing on the Internet.
Even though a lot less people are buying things on the Internet as a whole though because of all of this, thanks to the many different options for us to market our products or services specifically at certain people, we don’t really have to worry about people with no money coming to our landing or offer pages. I mean, if you think about it, you don’t go to Google and start typing in things like “buy Shamwow online” or “buy TV-infomercial products online” if you don’t plan to actually buy those things online. I guess you might if you liked to torture yourself but thanks to specific keyword targeting, geographical targeting — pretty much targeting in general — we can just market the products that we sell to the people that have the ability to still buy them.
While it’s great we’ve remained unaffected it still is a bit unfortunate to know that so many people are having trouble finding work and struggling to pay the bills. Things like that are never fun or happy to think about and one of the good things at least is that many people are turning to the Internet to try and learn to make money and thus, discovering things like affiliate and internet marketing! Since this website is aimed at helping people like this, I sincerely hope that anyone who’s had trouble finding work and is trying to start up affiliate marketing as a way to support their family will find this site and find it very helpful.
This is after all why I’ve made it in the first place — so while we usually rag on the newbies and stuff for their complete and utter lack of knowledge — let’s all just be a bit more kind and understanding to our fellow Americans during this rough time in our history.

I don’t know man. I’ve seen various opinions on this. I know a few who have seen a slight decrease in performance. I think one of the problems is that even though you are getting a lot more conversions, there’s also quite a bit more scrubbing going on.
