Yahoo Answers is a feature Yahoo provides online with content generated almost entirely by its users alone. If you have a question you want answered or need some advice on virtually anything you can imagine, you can post it to the site and it will be visible for others to see and answer whenever they want.

Yahoo Answers is obviously useful for everyone, since it provides a place to get information and interact with others, but it is doubly useful for Internet marketers of all stripes. The people that congregate on the site ask questions on every topic imaginable, so regardless of your niche, product, service, or industry, there will certainly be people out there that are asking questions about it. You can take advantage of that to get some targeted traffic moving to your site as well as to help establish yourself as an authority in your field.

Start by plugging your keywords into the search box to find questions related to your topic. When you run across one, provide a thoughtful, useful answer and make sure to include your backlink. The more useful and informative the answers, the more likely people will be to click your link.

By keeping your answers useful and informative like that, you also establish yourself as someone who knows what’s up, and that inspires the trust and confidence you need people to have in order to give you sales.

Yahoo Answers is free to both join and use. The people that observe your answers are people that are interested in your area, and as an added bonus, Yahoo Answers pages tend to place highly in the SERPs (search engine results pages), making this service an ideal medium to generate some targeted traffic for your website and build up your good online reputation.

  1. Stop giving away all my secrets! Yahoo! Answers is also a great place to do keyword research for your campaign because you get to see the types of questions being asked.
