Well I’ve been working a bit on building some lists and sending out some offers and I am very pleased by the results so far. I actually recently purchased a niche website that is making some money via adsense, as well as an ebook that is sold on the site.
The purchase of this site also came with a list in Aweber of around 4000 subscribers. I was pretty impressed by the low unsubscribe rate, which showed me that the people that had signed up were very interested in the website and the topics therein.
I sent out a series of three emails and the second one went out today and the results were actually pretty surprising. I had figured that the first email would catch most of the interested people, however I got a good amount of sales the second day as well.
The site that I was sending them to was a Clickbank product, mainly because of the niche of the site there isn’t really a better place to find an offer for this niche than Clickbank.
Here’s the results so far.
Email 1: 734 hops, 12 sales for $180.35.
Email 2: 166 hops, 3 sales for $61.81.
So it seems like the first email I sent out is doing the best, however the first email was sent out several days ago, and today when the second email was sent out I got a surge of sales to the first email. So I’m not quite sure what to take that as. Did they see the second email then decide to click the first? Seems strange to me but I will keep monitoring it.
The best part about email marketing is that you continue to get sales day after day because people open their emails at different times. Some people only check their email once a week, while some(like myself) check it all day, and receive updates on their phone if they aren’t at home.
This was my first email marketing campaign, and it’s producing decent results so I’m pretty happy about that. I am really working on growing my subscriber base for my several email lists and I will begin to mail out offers to all of my lists soon.
