  1. Great advice. This approach has never changed. When everyone was enamored with AOL, they used that for their business and personal mail – It was not professional

But, something else is happening. Many people are using their web mail accounts for business. I don’t know why but I see gmail and yahoo as often as I see a name with a business URL as an email.

Do you happen to know why?

  2. It is definitely worth it to have your own email address that is based off your domain name, it just sends wave of trust and security to the user. If you have our own dedicated server, its not that hard to set it up. If you’re using a host like Godaddy, depending on your plan, you will likely have to pay for a separate email service so you can use your own email address but it is very much worth it!

  4. This is great advice, having your own email makes you look more professional and also makes it look like you care about your blog and are gonna stay for a while. Google apps also allows you to make emails your domain name on them.

  5. This way can somewhat show your professionalism toward your business. But, many bloggers fail to check their email consistenly and some of them would prefer gmail instead of email of their own domain. As long as you can reply your email within the satisfaction period, I believe whatever email account you use would be just fine.

  7. I will try it soon for my Blogs , Thanks for this help

  8. This is very true. I myself would prefer to be able to use my favorite web-based e-mail service as well. But whenever I see a company doesn’t have an e-mail ID using their own domain, my opinion of them might go down slightly.

  9. I’ve realized that Jkang@jeffreykang.com seems a bit crowded with my name so I’ve used “admin” in place of my first initial and last name. It still gives the trust while saying “I’m the one in charge.”
